Family Man Season 2
I was blown away by Samantha's acting. She is just too good. She hardly had any dialogues but she has done all the talking through her expressions and body language. I doubt anyone else could have carried out Raji's role so well.
Manoj Bajpai as Srikant is so realistic and relatable as any of us. He is such a brilliant actor, be it his comic timings, serious scenes, emotions he conveys through his eyes and face or portraying of day to day frustrations at his IT job or at home. You end up admiring him every single minute.
The kids who played Dhriti and Atharva have also done a wonderful job. While Atharva is cutest at his emotional blackmailing game and new found love for hypnosis. Dhriti is the classic teen who wants to grow up too soon, feels she has it all figured out and falls for the wrong guy. There is one particular scene which would give anyone, goosebumps for sure.
Its a lovely mix of both Srikant and Raji's narrative which are poles apart, yet so beautifully interwoven. There are quite a few really hilarious scenes, I particularly loved the lockup scene, the counsellor scene and Srikant's quitting scene.
The shock and thrill factor in couple of scenes was top notch. There are at least 5 scenes in the series which majority of the audiences would have paused and played back, just to relish the sheer brilliance of performance and the surprise quotient.
The onetake action scene of Raji's escape and chase scene of Subbu's arrest were truly a treat to watch. First couple of episodes may feel a bit slow but the series manages to keep you hooked.
Special metion for Sharib Hashmi as JK Talpade who is the heart of the show. You keep rooting for him throughout the series. Unlike last season, the end of season 2 wasn't a cliff-hanger, Infact, it did give a closure to season 1. Overall its a must watch!
